Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the jack from its packaging.
  2. Inspect the jack for any shipping damage. If damage is found, do not use and contact your supplier immediately.
  3. Ensure all components listed in the packaging are present.

Handle Assembly

  1. Insert the lower handle section into the handle socket on the jack.
  2. Align the holes and secure the handle using the provided pin or bolt, ensuring it is fully seated and locked.
  3. Attach the upper handle section to the lower section, if applicable, and secure it.

Initial Bleeding Procedure

Before first use, it is recommended to bleed any air from the hydraulic system to ensure proper operation.

  1. Turn the release valve counter-clockwise to fully open it.
  2. Pump the handle vigorously 10-15 times to circulate the hydraulic fluid and expel air.
  3. Turn the release valve clockwise to close it.
  4. Test the jack by raising and lowering it a few times without a load. If operation is not smooth, repeat the bleeding procedure.

Operating Instructions

Lifting a Vehicle

  1. Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and block the wheels that will remain on the ground.
  2. Locate the manufacturer-recommended lifting points on the vehicle chassis. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual.
  3. Position the jack so the saddle is directly under the lifting point. Ensure the jack is stable and not on an angle.
  4. Close the release valve by turning the handle clockwise until it is firm.
  5. Pump the jack handle to raise the vehicle to the desired height. Lift only high enough to place jack stands.
  6. Immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's designated support points.
  7. Slowly open the release valve to lower the vehicle onto the jack stands. Ensure the vehicle is securely resting on the stands before proceeding with any work.

Lowering a Vehicle

  1. Ensure the area around the vehicle is clear.
  2. Raise the vehicle slightly off the jack stands using the jack.
  3. Remove the jack stands from under the vehicle.
  4. Slowly turn the release valve counter-clockwise to gradually lower the vehicle to the ground. Do not open the valve too quickly, as this can cause the vehicle to drop rapidly.
  5. Once the vehicle is fully lowered, remove the jack.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your AFF Service Jack.
