• Do not overload the scale beyond its maximum capacity of 2 kg.

5. Setup

Battery Installation:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the two included AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6. Operating Instructions

Power On/Off:

• To turn on the scale, press the ON/OFF/TARE button located on the right side of the display.
• To turn off the scale, press and hold the ON/OFF/TARE button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale also features an auto power-off function after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Tare Function:

• Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
• Press the ON/OFF/TARE button briefly. The display will reset to 0.0, allowing you to weigh ingredients without including the container's weight.

Timer Function:

• To start the timer, press the START/STOP button located on the left side of the display.
• To pause/resume the timer, press the START/STOP button again.
• To reset the timer, press and hold the START/STOP button.

Muting Beeps:

• To mute the scale's beeping sounds, press and hold the START/STOP button for approximately 5 seconds until the speaker icon disappears from the display. Repeat the process to unmute.

Flow Rate Display (Advanced Feature):

The scale may feature an advanced flow rate display, which shows grams per second. This can be activated by a dedicated button or a combination of buttons, depending on the specific model revision. Refer to the on-screen indicators for activation. This feature is useful for experienced brewers to monitor pouring consistency.

Common Issues:

• Scale not turning on: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
• Inaccurate readings: Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface. Recalibrate if the model supports it (refer to specific model instructions if available). Ensure the weighing platform is clean.
• Auto power-off too soon: The auto power-off function is typically 5 minutes. If the timer is active, the scale will not auto power-off.
