2. Safety Information

Read all safety warnings and instructions before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.

  • DANGER: RISK OF EXPLOSION. Do not exceed 150 PSIG (1000 kPa) pressure in the vessel. Excessive pressure can cause severe personal injury. Do not set the regulator higher than 150 PSIG.
  • DANGER: FLAMMABILITY RISK. Solvents used for flushing are often flammable and may have a low flash point. Always consult the solvent manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for specific hazards, handling, and storage information.
  • WARNING: Contents of the bottle are under pressure. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety goggles and chemical-resistant gloves, when operating this tool.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation in the work area to prevent accumulation of hazardous fumes.
  • Keep the tool and flushing solvents away from open flames, sparks, and other ignition sources.
  • Always depressurize the system before disconnecting any hoses or components.
  • Dispose of used flushing solvent and contaminated materials according to local environmental regulations.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present and undamaged before proceeding:

  • 1x Flush Gun Assembly (includes pressure bottle, adjustable regulator with gauge, and control valve)
  • 1x Flexible Hose with Clamp-Style AC Line Adapter

4. Setup

  1. Prepare Work Area: Ensure the work area is well-ventilated, free from ignition sources, and equipped with appropriate spill containment materials.
  2. Wear PPE: Put on safety goggles and chemical-resistant gloves.
  3. Fill Solvent Bottle: Unscrew the top assembly from the flush gun bottle. Carefully pour the recommended AC flushing solvent into the bottle. Do not overfill. Reattach the top assembly securely, ensuring a tight seal.
  4. Connect Air Source: Connect an air compressor hose to the inlet fitting on the flush gun's regulator. Ensure the air compressor is capable of providing regulated pressure up to 150 PSIG.
  5. Adjust Pressure: Slowly open the air supply valve and adjust the regulator knob to the desired flushing pressure, not exceeding 150 PSIG. The pressure gauge will indicate the current pressure.
  6. Connect to AC System: Attach the clamp-style adapter on the flexible hose to the AC line or component you intend to flush. Ensure a secure connection to prevent leaks.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Isolate Component: Before flushing, ensure the AC component or line to be flushed is isolated from the rest of the AC system. This prevents contamination of other parts.
  2. Position for Drainage: Position the open end of the AC line or component over a suitable waste container to collect the expelled solvent and contaminants.
  3. Initiate Flush: Slowly open the control valve on the flush gun assembly. The pressurized solvent will flow through the hose and into the AC line/component.
  4. Monitor Flow: Observe the solvent flowing out into the waste container. Continue flushing until the solvent runs clear, indicating that contaminants have been removed.
  5. Close Valve: Once flushing is complete, close the control valve on the flush gun.
  6. Depressurize: Carefully disconnect the air compressor hose from the flush gun to depressurize the bottle. Then, slowly and cautiously disconnect the clamp-style adapter from the AC line, ensuring no residual pressure.
  7. Air Dry: After flushing, it is recommended to blow dry the AC lines and components with compressed air to remove any remaining solvent.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the exterior of the flush gun and hose with a damp cloth. Ensure no solvent residue remains on external surfaces.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the hose for cracks, cuts, or wear. Check all fittings and seals for signs of damage or leakage. Replace any worn or damaged components immediately.
  • Storage: Store the flush gun tool kit in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and corrosive chemicals. Ensure the bottle is empty and depressurized before storage.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
