- Filling the Water Tank (for Steam Ironing):
- Ensure the iron is unplugged and cool.
- Open the water filler cap.
- Using the provided measuring cup, carefully pour clean tap water into the water tank. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line to avoid over-filling and potential leakage.
- Close the water filler cap securely.
- Power Connection: Plug the iron into a suitable 220-240 volt AC power outlet.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Dry Ironing
- Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control is set to the 'Dry' position (if applicable).
- Plug in the iron.
- Set the temperature dial to the desired fabric setting. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating.
- Once the indicator light turns off (or changes color), the iron has reached the set temperature and is ready for use.
- Iron your garments as needed.
4.2 Steam Ironing
- Fill the water tank as described in Section 3.
- Plug in the iron.
- Set the temperature dial to the 'Steam' range or a high temperature setting suitable for your fabric (e.g., cotton, linen).
- Wait for the iron to fully heat up. The indicator light will turn off when ready. Important: Do not use the steam function before the iron is fully heated to prevent water leakage.
- Adjust the steam control to the desired steam level.
- Vertical and Horizontal Burst of Steam: Press the steam burst button for an extra surge of steam to remove stubborn wrinkles. This can be used for both horizontal ironing and vertical steaming of hanging garments.
- Iron your garments.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your iron.
- Cleaning the Soleplate:
- Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
- Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Do not use harsh scouring pads or metallic cleaners as they can damage the scratch-resistant coating.
- Draining the Water Tank:
- After each steam ironing session, unplug the iron and allow it to cool.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent mineral buildup and odors.
- Descaling (Recommended Periodically):
- If you notice reduced steam output or white flakes, descaling may be necessary.
- Consult specialized iron descaling solutions or use a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and distilled water. Follow the product instructions carefully.
- Never use bleach or other harsh chemicals.
- Storage:
- Store the iron upright on its heel rest, with the water tank empty and the cord neatly wrapped.
- Store in a dry, safe place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outlet issue; temperature dial set to 'OFF' or too low. | Check power connection; try a different outlet; adjust temperature dial. |
| Water leaks from soleplate. | Iron not hot enough for steam; water tank overfilled; steam setting too high for temperature. | Allow iron to fully heat before steaming; do not overfill water tank; reduce steam setting or increase temperature. |
| No steam or low steam output. | Water tank empty; steam vents clogged; iron not hot enough. | Refill water tank; descale iron to clear vents; allow iron to reach full temperature. |
| White flakes on garments. | Mineral buildup in water tank/steam vents from hard water. | Descale the iron. Use distilled or demineralized water for future use. |
