2. Pairing Plugs with Remote Control

Each receiver plug needs to be paired with a specific channel on the remote control. The remote control has 4 channels (A, B, C, D), but this set includes a 3-channel remote. You will use channels A, B, and C.

  1. Locate the small rotary switches on the back of each receiver plug. There are two switches: one for the "House Code" (top) and one for the "Unit Code" (bottom).
  2. For each plug, set the "House Code" switch to a desired position (e.g., '1'). Ensure all plugs you want to control with this remote are set to the same "House Code".
  3. Set the "Unit Code" switch for each plug to a unique position corresponding to a remote control channel (e.g., '1' for channel A, '2' for channel B, '3' for channel C).
  4. Plug the receiver into a wall socket. The LED indicator on the plug should light up briefly.
  5. Press the corresponding ON button on the remote control for the channel you assigned (e.g., 'A ON' for the plug set to Unit Code '1'). The plug should respond by clicking and its LED indicator lighting up.
  6. Repeat this process for the other two plugs, assigning them to channels B and C respectively.

Operating Instructions

Once the plugs are paired, operating them is straightforward:

  • Plug your appliance or lamp into the remote-controlled receiver plug.
  • Use the corresponding channel button (A, B, or C) on the remote control to switch the connected device ON or OFF.
  • The remote control uses radio frequency (433.92MHz) and has a transmission distance of up to 30 meters, even through walls and floors.
  • The LED indicator on the receiver plug will illuminate when the plug is switched ON.

Note: The remote control has a 'D' channel, but this specific product set only includes three receiver plugs. The 'D' channel can be used if you purchase additional compatible Chacon receiver plugs.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the plugs and remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

Battery Replacement

If the remote control's range decreases or it stops responding, the battery may need replacement. Replace the 12V 23A battery following the instructions in the "Install Battery in Remote Control" section.

Troubleshooting

  • Plug not responding to remote:
    • Check if the remote control battery is correctly installed and not depleted.
    • Verify that the "House Code" and "Unit Code" switches on the plug match the remote control's settings.
    • Ensure the plug is securely inserted into the wall socket and receiving power.
    • Try re-pairing the plug with the remote control.
  • Reduced transmission range:
    • Replace the remote control battery.
    • Ensure there are no major obstructions (e.g., large metal objects) between the remote and the plug.
    • Other radio frequency devices nearby might cause interference.
  • Plug does not fit into socket:
    • This product uses Type F (Schuko) 2-pin plugs, common in Germany and Spain. Ensure your wall sockets are compatible.
