3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the device from its packaging. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
3.2 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert one (1) LR44 1.5V button cell battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -). Note: Battery is not supplied with the device.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
3.3 Placement
The device can be placed on a flat surface, such as a table or shelf, or mounted on a wall. For accurate readings, place the device away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts.
- Tabletop Placement: Use the integrated stand (if applicable) or simply place it on a stable surface.
- Wall Mounting: Use a small screw (not supplied) and the keyhole slot on the back of the device to securely mount it on a wall.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Initial Power-On
Once the battery is installed, the device will automatically power on and begin displaying the indoor temperature and humidity. The initial readings may take a few moments to stabilize.
4.2 Reading the Display
- The large digits in the center of the display show the current indoor temperature in degrees Celsius (℃).
- The humidity percentage (% RH) is also displayed.
- The comfort indicator provides a visual representation of the indoor environment's comfort level (e.g., "CONFORT" for comfortable, "FRAIS" for cool, "CHAUD" for warm, "HUMIDE" for humid, "SEC" for dry).
4.3 Comfort Indicator
The comfort indicator uses a graphical scale to show whether the current temperature and humidity are within an optimal comfort range. Green segments typically indicate comfort, while red segments indicate conditions that are too cool, warm, dry, or humid.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing.
5.2 Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the LR44 battery promptly to ensure continuous and accurate readings. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.2.
5.3 Storage
If storing the device for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage and damage.
