Setup Guide

1. Unpacking the Printer

2. Installing Ink Cartridges

  1. Open the scanner unit/cover.
  2. Wait for the print head holder to move to the replacement position.
  3. Remove the empty ink cartridges (if any) and unpack the new Canon FINE cartridges.
  4. Insert the color cartridge into the left slot and the black cartridge into the right slot until they click into place.
  5. Close the scanner unit/cover.

3. Loading Paper

Open the rear tray cover and pull out the paper support. Load paper with the print side facing up. Adjust the paper guides to fit the width of the paper.

4. Connecting to a Computer

Connect the printer to your computer using a USB 2.0 cable (not included). Install the printer drivers and software from the provided setup CD-ROM or download them from the official Canon website.

Operating Instructions

Printing Documents

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to your computer.
  2. Open the document you wish to print on your computer.
  3. Select "Print" from the application's menu.
  4. Choose "Canon MP230 series" as your printer.
  5. Adjust print settings (e.g., paper size, print quality, color/grayscale) as needed.
  6. Click "Print".

Copying Documents

  1. Place the document face-down on the scanner glass.
  2. Close the document cover gently.

  2. Close the document cover.

Maintenance

Replacing Ink Cartridges
