1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, use, maintenance, and care of your Ozark Trail 10 Person Tent. Please read all instructions carefully before attempting to set up or use the tent. Retain this manual for future reference.
2. Safety Information
- Fire Safety: Keep all flame and heat sources away from this tent fabric. The tent is made with flame-resistant fabric, but it is not fireproof.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent suffocation. Do not use fuel-burning devices inside the tent.
- Weather Conditions: Avoid setting up the tent under trees with dead branches. In strong winds, ensure all guy lines are securely staked. Do not use the tent in extreme weather conditions such as severe thunderstorms or heavy snow.
- Site Selection: Choose a level campsite free of sharp objects. Clear the area of rocks, sticks, and debris before pitching the tent.
- Children: Keep children away from the tent during setup and takedown to prevent injury from poles or stakes.

4. Tent Setup Instructions
It is recommended that two people set up this tent for ease and efficiency.
- Prepare the Site: Choose a flat, clear area. Lay out a ground tarp (not included) if desired, ensuring it does not extend beyond the tent's footprint to prevent water collection.
- Unfold Tent Body: Spread the tent body on the chosen site with the door facing the desired direction.
- Assemble Poles: Connect all pole sections. Identify the main support poles (usually longer and thicker) and the smaller canopy poles.
- Insert Poles: Slide the main support poles through the sleeves on the tent body. Insert the ends of the poles into the pin-and-ring system at the tent's corners.
- Raise Tent: Gradually raise the tent by bending the poles and clipping the tent body to the poles using the attached clips.
- Attach Rainfly: Drape the rainfly over the tent, aligning the doors and windows. Secure the rainfly to the tent poles or tent body using the attached buckles, hooks, or ties.
- Stake Down Tent: Secure the tent corners and all stake-out points with the provided steel stakes. Use a mallet if necessary.
- Attach Guy Ropes: For added stability, especially in windy conditions, attach the guy ropes to the designated loops on the rainfly and stake them firmly into the ground at an angle.
- Set Up Canopy: If applicable, use the shorter poles to extend the front canopy.

5. Operating Features
5.1 Room Dividers
The tent includes two removable room dividers to create up to three separate living spaces. Attach the dividers using the toggles or hooks located along the tent's interior seams. This allows for privacy and organization within the tent.

5.2 E-Port
An E-port is provided for convenient electrical cord access. Unzip the small opening on the tent wall, pass your extension cord through, and zip it closed around the cord to minimize insect entry and weather exposure. Ensure the cord is rated for outdoor use.

5.3 Mud Mat and Shoe Pocket
A mud mat is located at the main entrance to help keep the tent interior clean. Use the internal shoe pocket for storing footwear and other small items, keeping them organized and off the tent floor.

6. Disassembly and Storage
- Clean Tent: Ensure the tent is free of dirt, leaves, and debris before packing.
- Remove Stakes and Guy Ropes: Carefully remove all stakes and guy ropes from the ground.
- Remove Rainfly: Detach the rainfly from the tent body and fold it neatly.
- Remove Poles: Unclip the tent body from the poles. Disassemble the poles by separating the sections.
- Fold Tent Body: Lay the tent body flat and fold it lengthwise to match the length of the disassembled poles. Roll the tent tightly, expelling air as you go.
- Pack Components: Place the folded tent body, rainfly, poles, stakes, and other accessories into the zippered carrying bag.
- Store: Store the tent in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the tent with a soft sponge, mild soap, and lukewarm water. Do not use harsh detergents, bleach, or washing machines, as this can damage the fabric's waterproof coating. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage.
- Waterproofing: Over time, the tent's water repellency may diminish. Apply a seam sealer to all stitched seams and a fabric waterproofing spray to the tent body and rainfly as needed, following the product manufacturer's instructions.
- Pole Care: Inspect tent poles for cracks or bends. Replace damaged poles promptly to ensure structural integrity.
- Zipper Care: Keep zippers clean and free of debris. Lubricate with a silicone-based zipper lubricant if they become stiff.
