4. Setup

1. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, disassemble the spray gun and thoroughly clean all components to remove any manufacturing or shipping grease. This ensures optimal performance and prevents contamination of your paint.

1. Set Air Pressure: Adjust your air compressor regulator to achieve a working pressure between 28-45 PSI at the gun. Do not exceed the maximum pressure of 60 PSI.
2. Adjust Fluid Control: The fluid control knob regulates the amount of paint flowing through the gun. Turn clockwise to decrease fluid flow and counter-clockwise to increase it.
3. Adjust Fan Pattern Control: The fan pattern control knob adjusts the shape and width of the spray pattern. Turn to achieve a narrow or wide spray as needed for your application. The fan pattern can range from 7.0 to 10.9 inches.
4. Test Spray: Before spraying your workpiece, perform a test spray on a piece of scrap material to verify the spray pattern, fluid output, and atomization. Adjust controls as necessary.
5. Spraying Technique:
   • Hold the gun perpendicular to the surface, maintaining a consistent distance (typically 6-8 inches).
   • Use smooth, even strokes, overlapping each pass by about 50%.
   • Release the trigger at the end of each stroke to avoid excessive paint buildup.

1. Immediate Cleaning: Clean the spray gun immediately after each use. This prevents paint from drying inside the gun, which can cause clogs and damage.
2. Disassembly: Disassemble the gun, removing the air cap, fluid nozzle, and fluid needle.
