Operating Instructions
Spot and Stain Cleaning Procedure
- Pre-treat (Optional): For heavily soiled areas or tough stains, pre-treat the spot with a Bissell pre-treatment spray according to its instructions.
- Power On: Press the power button located on the unit to turn on the SpotClean Professional.
- Spray Cleaning Solution: Hold the cleaning tool approximately one inch above the soiled surface. Press the spray trigger on the tool handle to dispense cleaning solution onto the stain.
- Scrub the Stain: Gently scrub the stained area with the brush on the cleaning tool. Apply light pressure and move the tool back and forth over the stain.
- Suction and Extract: Release the spray trigger and apply downward pressure on the cleaning tool while pulling it slowly over the treated area. This action will suction up the dirty solution and moisture. Repeat this step until no more dirty solution can be extracted.
- Rinse (Optional): For best results and to prevent residue, fill the clean water tank with only warm water (no formula) and repeat the suction process over the cleaned area.
- Power Off: Once cleaning is complete, turn off the unit by pressing the power button.

Maintenance and Care
After Each Use
- Empty and Rinse Dirty Water Tank: Remove the dirty water tank from the unit. Carefully pour out the dirty water into a sink or toilet. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
- Rinse Clean Water Tank: If any solution remains, empty and rinse the clean water tank.
- Clean Tools and Hose: Rinse the cleaning tools under running water. For the hose, you can suction clean water through it to flush out any residue.
- Wipe Down Unit: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft cloth.
- Air Dry: Allow all tanks, tools, and the hose to air dry completely before reassembling and storing the unit. This helps prevent odors and mildew.
Storage
Store the SpotClean Professional in a dry, protected area at room temperature. Do not store the unit with solution in the clean water tank or water in the dirty water tank. Wrap the power cord neatly around the cord wrap hooks and secure the hose in its designated storage area.
