Setup Instructions

1. Unpack the Mattress Pad:

   Carefully remove the heated mattress pad and controller(s) from the packaging. Unroll the mattress pad and lay it flat on your bed to allow any creases to relax.

2. Position the Mattress Pad:

   Place the heated mattress pad directly on top of your mattress. Ensure the connector for the controller is positioned at the foot of the bed, where it will not interfere with sleeping. The built-in skirt stretches to fit mattresses up to 16 inches deep.

3. Connect the Controller:

   Locate the connector on the mattress pad and the corresponding plug on the controller cord. Firmly push the controller plug into the mattress pad connector until it clicks securely into place. Ensure the connection is snug to prevent accidental disconnection during use.

4. Plug into Power Outlet:

   Plug the power cord from the controller into a 120V AC electrical wall outlet. Do not use with extension cords or power strips.

5. Cover with Sheet:

   Place your fitted sheet over the heated mattress pad. This helps to protect the pad and distribute heat evenly.

Operating Instructions

Your Sunbeam Restful Heated Mattress Pad features a digital controller for easy temperature and timer adjustments.

1. Turning On/Off:

   Press the Power Button (usually a circular button with a power symbol) on the controller to turn the mattress pad on or off. The display will illuminate when the unit is on.

2. Adjusting Heat Settings:

   Use the Temperature Up/Down Buttons (often marked with wavy lines or arrows) to select your desired heat level. There are 12 heat settings available. Start with a lower setting and adjust as needed for comfort.

3. Setting the Auto Shut-Off Timer:

   Press the Timer Button (often marked with a clock symbol or "Auto Off") to cycle through the available auto shut-off times, from 1 to 12 hours. The display will show the selected duration. The pad will automatically turn off after the set time has elapsed, providing peace of mind.

4. Pre-heating:

   For optimal warmth, turn on the mattress pad approximately 15-30 minutes before getting into bed. This allows the pad to reach your desired temperature.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity and safe operation of your heated mattress pad.

1. Before Cleaning:

   Always unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and detach the controller(s) from the mattress pad before washing. Ensure the connectors are completely dry before reattaching.

2. Washing Instructions:

   • Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water (maximum 30°C / 86°F).
   • Do not bleach.
   • Do not dry clean.
   • Use a small amount of mild detergent.

3. Drying Instructions:

   • Tumble dry on low heat or air dry.
   • Ensure the mattress pad is completely dry before reconnecting the controller and plugging it back in.
   • Do not iron.

4. Storage:

   When not in use, store the mattress pad and controller(s) in their original packaging or a breathable bag in a cool, dry place. Avoid placing heavy objects on the pad during storage to prevent damage to the internal wiring.
