Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the underside of the mouse.
  2. Slide the cover open or press the release button, depending on the model.
  3. Insert the provided AA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - terminals).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. USB Wireless Receiver Connection

  1. Locate an available USB port on your computer.
  2. Remove the USB wireless receiver from its storage slot, usually located inside the battery compartment or near it.
  3. Insert the USB wireless receiver firmly into the USB port. Your computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.

3. Power On

If your mouse has a power switch (typically on the underside), slide it to the 'ON' position. The mouse is now ready for use.

Operating the Mouse

The HP X3000 Wireless Mouse features a standard three-button design with a scroll wheel for intuitive navigation.

  • Left Button: Primary click function for selecting items, opening files, and interacting with software.
  • Right Button: Secondary click function, typically used to open context menus.
  • Scroll Wheel: Roll up or down to navigate through documents and web pages. The scroll wheel can also be pressed as a middle button for additional functions in some applications.
