- Ensure the voltage and frequency of the electrical supply match the ratings on the appliance data plate.
- The electrical connection must be accessible after installation for servicing.
4. Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the control knobs and burner layout before first use.
4.1 Igniting a Burner
- Place appropriate cookware on the desired burner's pan support.
- Push down the corresponding control knob and turn it counter-clockwise to the maximum flame position (large flame symbol).
- Hold the knob down for a few seconds until the flame ignites and stabilizes. The electronic ignition will click during this process.
- If the flame does not ignite, release the knob and repeat the process. If it still doesn't ignite, check the gas supply and power.
4.2 Adjusting the Flame
- Once the burner is lit, you can adjust the flame intensity by rotating the control knob between the maximum (large flame symbol) and minimum (small flame symbol) positions.
- For simmering, turn the knob to the minimum flame position.
- To turn off the burner, rotate the knob clockwise to the "OFF" position (dot symbol).
4.3 Using the Triple Crown Burner
The central triple crown burner provides intense heat, ideal for rapid boiling, stir-frying, or cooking with large pots. Operate it in the same manner as other burners, adjusting the flame as needed for your cooking requirements.

4.4 Pan Selection
- Use pots and pans with flat, thick bases that are suitable for gas hobs.
- Ensure the pan size is appropriate for the burner. The flame should not extend beyond the base of the pan.
- For the triple crown burner, use larger diameter pans to maximize heat transfer.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your hob. Always ensure the hob is cool and disconnected from the power supply before cleaning.
5.1 General Cleaning
- Wipe the hob surface with a soft cloth and mild detergent after each use to remove food spills and grease.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the Avena finish.
- Dry the surface thoroughly to prevent water spots.
5.2 Burner Components
The burner caps and crowns can be removed for cleaning.
- Allow burners to cool completely.
- Lift off the pan supports, burner caps, and burner crowns.
- Wash them in warm soapy water. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive cleaner can be used.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling. Blocked burner holes can affect flame quality.
- Carefully replace the burner components, ensuring they are correctly seated.
5.3 Pan Supports
The metal pan supports can be cleaned with warm soapy water. For baked-on food, soak them before cleaning. Avoid harsh scrubbing that could damage the finish.
