LED Indicators
The AL519 features three LED indicators (Green, Yellow, Red) that provide a quick visual assessment of the vehicle's status:
- Green LED: Indicates that all monitors are running and performing their diagnostic testing, and no DTCs are present.
- Yellow LED: Indicates that there might be a pending DTC or some monitors have not yet completed their diagnostic testing.
- Red LED: Indicates that there are current DTCs present in the vehicle's system.
DTC Lookup
This function allows you to input a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) and view its definition directly on the scanner's screen, eliminating the need for external resources.

I/M Readiness Check
The patented One-Click I/M Readiness Key provides a quick State Emissions readiness check and drive cycle verification. This function helps determine if the vehicle is ready for an emissions test.

Reading and Clearing Codes
The scanner can read generic (P0, P2, P3, and U0), manufacturer-specific (P1, P3, and U1) codes, and pending codes. After addressing the issue, you can clear the codes and reset the monitors.
Live Data Display
View real-time data from the vehicle's sensors and components in both text and graph formats. This is crucial for diagnosing intermittent problems and verifying repairs.

Other Diagnostic Tests
The AL519 supports additional diagnostic tests including On-Board Monitor Test and Component Test, providing a comprehensive analysis of your vehicle's systems.
Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and free from dust and debris.
- Store the scanner in its provided carrying case when not in use to protect it from damage.
- Ensure the cable is not kinked or damaged during storage or use.
- The device does not require batteries for operation as it draws power directly from the vehicle's OBD-II port.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AL519 scanner, consider the following:
- No Power: Ensure the OBD-II connector is securely plugged into the vehicle's port and the vehicle's ignition is on.
- Communication Error: Verify the vehicle is OBD-II compliant (most vehicles post-1996 in the U.S., post-2006 in EU, post-2009 in Asia). Check for loose connections.
- Incorrect Readings: Ensure the vehicle's VIN is correctly recognized. If issues persist, consult the detailed user manual (PDF) available online or contact customer support.
