4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or disposal.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the grill plate and raclette pans with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. The grill plate and pans are non-stick, so avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers.
- Placement: Place the raclette grill on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the appliance for ventilation and to prevent heat damage to surrounding objects.
- Power Connection: Ensure the temperature control knob is set to "0" (off) before plugging the appliance into a grounded 230V AC power outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
- Preheating: Plug in the appliance. Turn the temperature control knob to the desired setting (e.g., MAX for faster preheating). Allow the grill to preheat for approximately 10-15 minutes. The indicator light will illuminate when the unit is on.
- Using the Grill Plate: Place thinly sliced meats, vegetables, or other grillable items directly onto the preheated grill plate. Cook to your desired doneness.
- Using the Raclette Pans: Place cheese, pre-cooked vegetables, or other small portions into the individual raclette pans. Slide the pans into the designated slots beneath the heating element. The heat from above will melt the cheese or cook the contents.
- Serving: Use the wooden spatulas to remove food from the raclette pans and grill plate. Avoid using metal utensils that could scratch the non-stick coating.
- Adjusting Temperature: Adjust the temperature control knob as needed during cooking. The appliance has 3 settings, from minimum to maximum heat.
- Switching Off: After use, turn the temperature control knob to "0" (off) and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. Allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your raclette grill.
- Cool Down: Always allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Grill Plate and Pans: The non-stick grill plate and raclette pans can be cleaned with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth. For stubborn food residue, soak them in warm water for a few minutes before cleaning. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Do not use abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh detergents.
- Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Once clean and dry, store the raclette grill and its components in a dry place.
