2. Safety Information

4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly requires approximately 30-60 minutes. It is recommended to have two people for easier assembly, though one person can complete it.

  1. Attach Casters to Star Base: Insert each of the five caster wheels into the holes at the end of the star base arms. Push firmly until they click into place.
  2. Insert Gas Lift Cylinder: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled star base.
  3. Attach Mechanism Plate to Seat: Align the mechanism plate with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Ensure the lever is positioned correctly (usually on the right side when seated). Secure with screws provided in the hardware pack.
  4. Attach Armrests to Seat and Backrest: Secure the armrests to the sides of the seat cushion and the backrest using the provided screws. Do not overtighten initially; tighten fully once all screws are in place.
  5. Connect Seat/Backrest Assembly to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the center hole of the mechanism plate aligns with the top of the gas lift. Press down firmly to secure.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Height Adjustment

To adjust the seat height (range: 46-55 cm):

  • To raise the seat: While seated, lift the lever located on the right side of the chair (Image 5.1). The seat will rise automatically. Release the lever at the desired height.
  • To lower the seat: While seated, lift the lever (Image 5.1) and apply slight body weight. The seat will lower. Release the lever at the desired height.
  • To raise the seat without weight: Stand up and lift the lever. The seat will rise to its maximum height.

5.2. Tilt Function and Lock

The chair features a tilt mechanism that allows the backrest and seat to recline together. The lever on the right side (Image 5.2) also controls the tilt lock.

  • To unlock tilt: Pull the lever outwards from the chair. The chair will now allow for a rocking motion.
  • To lock tilt: Push the lever inwards towards the chair. The chair will lock in its upright position.

5.3. Movement

The five caster wheels allow for easy movement across hard floor surfaces. Ensure the floor is clear of obstructions before moving the chair.
