1. Introduction

The Allen & Heath XONE:K2 is a versatile, slim-profile universal controller designed for digital DJs and live performers. It integrates a 4-channel (2x stereo) audio interface, essential for DJ setups. The XONE:K2 offers extensive control capabilities with 52 physical controls, including faders, knobs, and buttons, which can be assigned across three layers to manage up to 171 MIDI control signals. Connectivity is provided via USB or Allen & Heath's proprietary X:Link standard, allowing for connection to computers or other X:Link compatible devices using a standard LAN cable.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Connecting to a Computer (USB)

  1. Driver Installation: Before connecting the XONE:K2, visit the official Allen & Heath website to download and install the latest drivers for your operating system (Mac or PC).
  2. USB Connection: Connect one end of the supplied USB cable to the USB port on the XONE:K2 and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.

3.3 X:Link Connection

X:Link is Allen & Heath's proprietary protocol for connecting multiple XONE series devices. Use the supplied LAN cable to connect the XONE:K2 to another X:Link compatible device. Refer to the documentation of the other X:Link device for specific connection and configuration details.
