Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your electric guitar kit. It is recommended to perform a dry fit of components before final assembly.

1. Preparing the Body and Neck

The guitar body and neck are provided unfinished. You may choose to sand, stain, paint, or clear-coat these components before proceeding with hardware installation. Ensure all surfaces are smooth and clean.

2. Attaching the Neck

1. Align the neck heel with the neck pocket on the guitar body. Ensure a snug fit.
2. Place the neck plate over the four pre-drilled holes on the back of the body, aligning it with the neck heel.
3. Secure the neck to the body using the four provided neck screws. Tighten them gradually and evenly to avoid stripping the wood or misaligning the neck.

3. Installing Hardware

1. Tuning Machines: Install the tuning machines into the headstock holes. Secure them with the provided screws and washers.
2. Bridge: Position the tremolo bridge on the guitar body, aligning it with the pre-drilled holes. Secure it with the appropriate screws. Install the tremolo springs and claw in the back cavity of the guitar body.
3. Strap Buttons: Install the strap buttons at the designated locations on the body.

4. Wiring and Pickguard Installation

1. Carefully place the pre-wired pickguard assembly onto the guitar body, ensuring the pickups align with their cavities and the potentiometers and switch fit through their respective holes.
2. Connect the output jack wires from the pickguard to the output jack mounted on the side of the guitar body.
3. Connect the ground wire from the tremolo bridge to the ground connection on the pickguard assembly.
4. Secure the pickguard to the body using the small screws provided.

5. Stringing the Guitar

1. Thread each string through the corresponding hole in the tremolo bridge.
2. Pull each string over the bridge saddles, across the fretboard, and through the tuning machine post on the headstock.
3. Wind the string around the post, ensuring a few wraps for tuning stability, and tighten the tuning machine.

Operating the Guitar

1. Connecting to an Amplifier

Insert a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable into the output jack on your guitar. Connect the other end of the cable to an electric guitar amplifier.

2. Basic Controls

• Volume Knob: Controls the overall output volume of the guitar. Turn clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
• Tone Knobs: Adjust the treble frequencies. Turning clockwise brightens the sound, while turning counter-clockwise mellows it.
• Pickup Selector Switch: This switch allows you to select different pickups or combinations of pickups, altering the guitar's tonal characteristics. Experiment with different positions to find your preferred sound.

3. Tuning

Use an electronic tuner to accurately tune your guitar. The standard tuning for a 6-string guitar from thickest to thinnest string is E-A-D-G-B-e.
