Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of Sylvania FlashCubes. These flashcubes are designed to provide supplemental lighting for cameras equipped with a compatible cross-shaped mounting socket. Each package contains three flash cubes, offering a total of twelve flashes (four flashes per cube).

Product Overview

Sylvania FlashCubes are single-use flashbulbs encased in a protective cube. They are activated by an electrical current supplied by the camera's internal battery. Each cube features four individual flashbulbs, allowing for multiple exposures before replacement is needed.

Note: Sylvania FlashCubes are not interchangeable with Magicubes.

Setup

1. Verify Camera Compatibility: Ensure your camera is designed to accept flashcubes and features a cross-shaped mounting socket.
2. Camera Battery: Confirm that your camera has a functional battery installed, as it is required to ignite the flashbulb.
3. Insert FlashCube: Gently insert a Sylvania FlashCube into the camera's cross-shaped mounting socket. Ensure it is seated firmly.

Operating Instructions

Once a FlashCube is properly installed in a compatible camera, the camera's internal electrical current will trigger one of the flashbulbs when the shutter is released. Each FlashCube provides four individual flashes. After each flash, the cube will rotate (either manually or automatically, depending on your camera model) to present a fresh bulb for the next exposure.

• Take your photograph as usual.
• The camera's battery will supply the electrical current to ignite the flashbulb.
• After four flashes, replace the FlashCube with a new one.

Safety Information

Please read and adhere to the following safety precautions:

• Bulb Integrity: Although each bulb is safety coated and the cube provides a shield, a damaged cube may shatter when flashed.
• Protective Shielding: Use additional protective shielding if operating at distances less than four feet from the subject.
• Static Electricity: Static electricity may cause unexpected flashing. Handle with care.
• Storage: Keep cubes in their original carton until immediately ready to use to avoid damage and unexpected flashing.
• Atmosphere: Do not flash in an explosive atmosphere.
