Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts listed in the 'Included Components' section are present.
  2. Head System Assembly: Ensure the 4-piece precision matched head system (crown cap, nozzle cap, fluid nozzle, and air cap body) is correctly assembled and securely tightened. Refer to Figure 3 for an exploded view of the head system.
  3. Needle Installation: Gently insert the 0.2mm needle through the rear of the airbrush body until it seats properly in the fluid nozzle. Secure it with the needle chucking nut.
  4. Connect Air Source: Attach your air hose to the airbrush's air inlet. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leaks.
  5. Prepare Paint: Thin your paint to the appropriate consistency for airbrushing. The G44 is designed for thinned or low viscosity materials.

Operating Instructions

  1. Fill Fluid Cup: Pour your prepared paint into the 1/3 oz gravity feed fluid cup.
  2. Adjust Air Pressure: Set your compressor to the desired air pressure. The air control valve on the airbrush allows for micro-adjustments.
  3. Dual-Action Trigger:
    • Press down on the trigger for air flow.
    • Pull back on the trigger for paint flow.
    • The further you pull back, the more paint is released.
  4. Preset Fluid Control: Use the preset fluid control knob at the rear of the airbrush to limit the needle's backward travel, allowing for consistent line widths without over-pulling the trigger.
  5. Spray Pattern: Practice on a scrap surface to achieve the desired spray pattern. The 0.2mm tip is ideal for ultra-fine detail lines up to 1 inch.

Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your airbrush. Clean your airbrush thoroughly after each use.

  1. Initial Flush: Empty any remaining paint from the fluid cup. Add a small amount of appropriate cleaning solution (e.g., airbrush cleaner, water for water-based paints) to the cup and spray it through the airbrush until clear.
  2. Back Flushing: Place your finger over the air cap to block the air flow, then press down for air and pull back the trigger. This will force air back into the fluid cup, bubbling and cleaning the inside. Repeat with fresh cleaning solution.
  3. Disassembly for Deep Cleaning: For thorough cleaning, disassemble the airbrush. Refer to Figure 3 (Exploded View) and Video 2 for guidance.
    • Remove the needle chucking nut and gently pull out the needle from the rear.
    • Unscrew the crown cap, nozzle cap, and air cap body. Carefully remove the fluid nozzle.
    • Clean all components with appropriate cleaning solutions and soft brushes. Pay special attention to the fluid nozzle and needle tip.
  4. Reassembly: Reassemble the airbrush in reverse order, ensuring all parts are clean and properly seated. Be careful not to overtighten components, especially the fluid nozzle, to avoid damage.
  5. Lubrication: Apply a small amount of airbrush-specific lubricant to the needle and trigger mechanism periodically to ensure smooth operation.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
