Product Overview

The Hotpoint-Ariston AQC9 4F5 T/Z1 is a high-efficiency, freestanding front-loading condensation dryer equipped with heat pump technology. Setup and Installation

Before operating your new dryer, please follow these installation guidelines carefully.

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the dryer for any transit damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.

2. Placement

• Place the dryer on a firm, level floor. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
• Do not install the dryer behind a lockable door, a sliding door, or a door with a hinge on the opposite side to that of the tumble dryer, in such a way that a full opening of the tumble dryer door is restricted.
• Maintain minimum clearances from walls or other appliances as specified in the full installation manual (not provided here).

3. Leveling

Adjust the adjustable feet at the bottom of the dryer to ensure it is perfectly level. A level dryer reduces vibration and noise during operation.

4. Electrical Connection

Connect the dryer to a properly grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage and frequency match the specifications on the appliance rating plate. Do not use extension cords or multiple adapters.

5. Condensate Drainage

This dryer collects water in a removable tank. Ensure the tank is correctly seated. For continuous drainage, you may connect a drainage hose (if supplied) to a suitable drain point, following the instructions in the full manual.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for optimal drying performance.

1. Loading the Dryer

• Sort laundry by fabric type and desired drying level.
• Do not overload the dryer. The maximum capacity is 9 kg.
• Ensure all items are suitable for tumble drying.

2. Selecting a Program

Turn the program selector knob to choose one of the 16 available programs. The display will show the estimated drying time.

• Anti Allergy: Utilizes electronic control and special sensors to maintain constant temperatures for an anti-allergenic treatment cycle.
• Plush: Uses low temperatures and controlled drum movements to keep plush toys looking new.
• Refresh: Eliminates unpleasant odors, leaving items fresh.

Drying Levels:

Choose from 5 different drying levels based on how you intend to use your garments:

• Damp: For items that require further air drying or specific finishing.
• Iron Dry: Leaves items slightly damp for easier ironing.
• Hanger Dry: Suitable for items to be hung directly after drying.
• Cupboard Dry: For items that can be folded and stored immediately.
• Wear Dry: Fully dry items ready to be worn.

3. Starting the Cycle

Press the Start/Pause button to begin the selected drying cycle. The display will count down the remaining time.

4. End of Cycle

The dryer will signal when the cycle is complete. Remove laundry promptly to minimize wrinkling.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures efficient operation and extends the life of your dryer.

1. Cleaning the Lint Filter

Clean the lint filter after every drying cycle. Pull out the filter, remove accumulated lint, and rinse under running water if necessary. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.

2. Emptying the Water Tank

Empty the condensate water tank after each cycle. The dryer will indicate when the tank is full. Remove the tank, empty the water, and replace it securely.

3. Cleaning the Condenser

For optimal performance, the condenser should be cleaned periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months). Refer to the full product manual for detailed instructions on how to access and clean the condenser unit.

4. Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the dryer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
