3. Setup Guide
3.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the JBL Onbeat Xtreme from its packaging.
- Place the unit on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or excessive moisture.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
3.2 Power Connection
- Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the 'AC IN' port on the rear of the JBL Onbeat Xtreme.
- Plug the other end of the power adapter into a functional wall outlet.
- The unit will power on automatically or can be turned on using the power button.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Docking an iOS Device
- Gently extend the docking arm if necessary.
- Align your iPad, iPod, or iPhone with the 30-pin connector on the dock.
- Carefully push the device down onto the connector until it is securely seated.
- Rotate your device to portrait or landscape orientation as desired for viewing.

4.2 Bluetooth Pairing and Streaming
- Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker or remote control to enter pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, computer), go to Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
- Select "JBL Onbeat Xtreme" from the list. If prompted for a passcode, enter "0000".
- Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light will turn solid. You can now stream audio wirelessly.
4.3 Using the Remote Control
The included RF remote control provides full system function control and music navigation from a distance. Point the remote towards the speaker and use the buttons for power, volume, track control, and source selection.

4.4 Speakerphone Functionality
- When a call comes in while your phone is connected via Bluetooth, the music will pause.
- Press the phone button on the speaker or remote to answer the call.
- Use the built-in microphone for hands-free conversation.
- Press the phone button again to end the call.

5.1 Cleaning
- Before cleaning, disconnect the power adapter from the wall outlet.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the speaker.
