4. Maintenance and Care
Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your G-Shock watch.
4.1. Cleaning
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild neutral detergent, then wipe dry. Avoid using volatile agents like thinner or benzine, as they may damage the resin components.
4.2. Water Resistance
Your GA-200-1AJF watch is water-resistant to 200 meters (20 BAR). This means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and shallow diving. However, avoid operating buttons while the watch is submerged in water to prevent water ingress.
4.3. Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a lithium metal battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should be performed by an authorized Casio service center or a qualified watch technician to maintain water resistance and ensure proper function.
