- Align the transparent food hopper with the opening on the feeder base. Twist the hopper clockwise until it securely locks into place.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning the Food Bowl
The food bowl is designed for easy removal and cleaning. It can be safely placed in the top rack of a dishwasher for thorough cleaning.
Cleaning the Hopper and Base
The transparent food hopper can be removed from the base and washed with warm, soapy water. Rinse it thoroughly to remove all soap residue and ensure it is completely dry before reattaching it to the base.
Wipe the exterior of the feeder base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water or allow water to enter the battery compartment or control panel area.
Regular Checks
- Regularly check the food level in the transparent hopper to ensure your pet does not run out of food.
- Ensure the twist-lock lid is always securely fastened to maintain food freshness and prevent unauthorized access by pets.
- Monitor the low battery indicator on the control panel and replace batteries as soon as it illuminates to prevent feeding interruptions.

Troubleshooting
Feeder Not Dispensing Food
- Check Battery Level: If the low battery indicator is on, replace the D-cell batteries immediately.
- Check Food Level: Ensure the food hopper is not empty. Refill if necessary.
- Clear Blockages: Verify that the food chute is not jammed with kibble. Gently shake the feeder or use a non-sharp, long object to carefully clear any blockages.
- Verify Programming: Double-check that meal times are correctly programmed and enabled.
Incorrect Portion Sizes
- Re-check Programmed Settings: Access the programming menu and confirm the portion settings for each meal.
- Kibble Variation: The feeder's accuracy can vary slightly depending on the size and shape of your pet's kibble. Observe the actual dispensed amounts and adjust the programmed portion size as needed to achieve the desired quantity.
Food Bowl Dislodges
- Secure Attachment: Ensure the food bowl is securely locked into the base after cleaning or refilling.
- Feeder Placement: If your pet frequently dislodges the bowl, consider placing the feeder in a corner or against a wall for added stability, which can help prevent movement.
