  3. Allow the glasses to charge fully before first use. The LED indicator on the glasses will show charging status (e.g., amber for charging, green for fully charged).

2. Connecting the IR Emitter

  1. Place the IR emitter on your desk or monitor, ensuring it has a clear line of sight to where you will be viewing.
  2. Connect the IR emitter to an available USB port on your computer using the provided USB cable.
  3. For DLP HDTVs or Quadro GPUs, you may also connect the VESA Stereo Cable to the designated port on the emitter and your display/GPU.

3. Software Installation and Configuration

  1. Ensure you have the latest NVIDIA graphics drivers installed on your PC. These drivers typically include the NVIDIA 3D Vision software.
  2. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel (right-click on your desktop and select "NVIDIA Control Panel").
  3. Navigate to the "Stereoscopic 3D" section and select "Enable Stereoscopic 3D."
  4. Follow the on-screen wizard to set up and test your 3D Vision system. This includes pairing the glasses with the emitter and performing a visual test.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

  • To power on the glasses, press the NVIDIA backlit button located on the side of the glasses. The LED indicator will illuminate.
  • To power off, press and hold the NVIDIA backlit button for a few seconds until the LED indicator turns off. The glasses will also automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.

2. Adjusting 3D Settings

For an optimal 3D experience, you can adjust the depth and convergence settings. These settings are typically controlled via keyboard shortcuts within games or through the NVIDIA Control Panel.

  • Enable Advanced In-Game Settings: In the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to Stereoscopic 3D > Set Keyboard Shortcuts and tick the box for "Enable Advanced in-game Settings."
  • Adjusting Depth: Use the designated keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Home/End keys) to increase or decrease the perceived depth of the 3D effect.
  • Adjusting Convergence: Use the designated keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Page Up/Page Down keys) to adjust convergence. This setting controls how far objects appear to pop out of or recede into the screen. Adjust until the image is comfortable and clear.

3. Using with 3D Content

  • Games: Launch a 3D Vision-ready game. The 3D effect should automatically engage. If not, ensure 3D Vision is enabled in the game's graphics settings or through the NVIDIA Control Panel.
  • Movies: Use a compatible 3D video player (e.g., NVIDIA's stereoscopic movie player or other third-party players with 3D support) to watch 3D movies.
  • Photos: View 3D photos using NVIDIA's 3D Photo Viewer or other compatible software.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the lenses and frame of the glasses.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the lenses or frame.

2. Storage

  • When not in use, store the glasses in their protective pouch or a safe place to prevent scratches and damage.
  • Avoid exposing the glasses to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.

3. Battery Care

  • The glasses use a Lithium Polymer battery. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the glasses regularly, even if not in constant use, to maintain battery health.
