1. Introduction and Overview

The TROTEC BZ05 Indoor Thermohygrometer is a compact and versatile device designed to monitor indoor climate conditions. It provides accurate readings of temperature and relative humidity, along with time display and alarm functions, making it suitable for various environments such as homes, offices, and wellness areas.

2. Product Features

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the device from its packaging. Ensure all components are present:

• TROTEC BZ05 Thermohygrometer
• 1x AAA Battery
• User Manual (this document)

3.2 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert one AAA battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.3 Placement

The BZ05 can be placed on a flat surface using its integrated kickstand or mounted on a wall.

• Desk Placement: Extend the kickstand on the back of the device to stand it upright on a desk or shelf.
• Wall Mounting: Use a small screw (not included) to hang the device from the keyhole slot on its back. Ensure the mounting location is stable and away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources for accurate readings.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Button Functions

The device has three control buttons on the front:

• MODE: Switches between time display, alarm setting, and other modes.
• ADJ (Adjust): Used to adjust values (e.g., time, alarm) in setting modes.
• MEMO (Memory): Displays minimum and maximum recorded values for temperature and humidity.

4.2 Setting Time and Date

1. Press the MODE button repeatedly until the time display flashes.
2. Use the ADJ button to set the hour.
3. Press MODE again to move to minutes, then use ADJ to set.
4. Continue pressing MODE to cycle through year, month, and day settings, adjusting each with the ADJ button.
5. Once all settings are complete, press MODE to exit setting mode.

4.3 Setting the Alarm

1. Press the MODE button until the alarm time display appears (usually indicated by an alarm icon).
2. Press and hold MODE until the alarm hour flashes.
3. Use the ADJ button to set the desired alarm hour.
4. Press MODE again to move to alarm minutes, then use ADJ to set.
5. Press MODE to confirm and exit alarm setting.
6. To activate/deactivate the alarm, press ADJ while in alarm display mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear.

4.4 Viewing Min/Max Values

The device automatically records the minimum and maximum temperature and humidity values since the last reset.

• Press the MEMO button once to display the maximum recorded values.
• Press MEMO again to display the minimum recorded values.
• Press MEMO a third time to return to current readings.
• To clear the Min/Max memory, press and hold the MEMO button while the Min/Max values are displayed.

4.5 Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)

On the back of the device, there is a small switch or button labeled °C/°F. Toggle this to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Replacement: Replace the AAA battery when the display becomes dim or the device stops functioning. Always dispose of used batteries responsibly.
• Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.
