The Mark Feldstein Garden Cottage Cuckoo Clock requires two (2) C batteries and one (1) AA battery for operation. Batteries are not included with the product.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the 2 C batteries and 1 AA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

1.2 Pendulum Attachment
The clock features a decorative swinging pendulum. To attach it:
- Carefully unpackage the pendulum.
- Locate the small hook or attachment point at the bottom center of the clock.
- Gently hook the pendulum onto the designated point.

1.3 Placement and Mounting
This cuckoo clock is designed for both tabletop and wall mount display.
- Tabletop Display: Ensure the pendulum is removed if placing on a flat surface to prevent obstruction.
- Wall Mount: Use a sturdy hook or screw appropriate for your wall type. The clock has a keyhole slot on the back for secure hanging.

2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Setting the Time
To set the correct time on your cuckoo clock:
- Gently turn the minute hand (the longer hand) clockwise until the desired time is displayed.
- Allow the clock to chime at each hour as you pass it.
2.2 Hourly Chime and Cardinal Movement
Each hour, a cardinal figure will emerge from its roost and chirp its distinctive song. This feature adds an ambient sound to your environment.
2.3 Light Sensor Function
The clock is equipped with a light sensor. This sensor automatically deactivates the bird song during periods of low light or darkness, ensuring quiet operation at night.
3. Maintenance
3.1 Battery Replacement
When the clock's functions (timekeeping, bird song) begin to falter, it is likely time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 1.1.
3.2 Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your cuckoo clock:
- Wipe the clock's exterior with a soft, dry cloth.
