Assembly and Setup
Follow these steps to assemble your Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional vacuum cleaner:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present: main vacuum body, wand, handle, hose, and accessories (crevice tool, dusting brush, pet power brush).

- Attach Power Nozzle to Pod: Place the motor pod onto the floor nozzle post. Press down until it clicks securely into place.

Emptying the Dust Cup
- The extra-large capacity dust cup (0.87L) should be emptied after each use or when debris reaches the MAX FILL line.
- To empty, press the dust cup release latch and lift the dust cup off the motor pod.
- Hold the dust cup over a trash bin and press the bottom empty release latch.
- If necessary, press the top dust cup release latch to access the screen for cleaning.
Cleaning Filters
The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional features an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal system with a HEPA filter. Regular cleaning of filters is crucial for maintaining suction and filtration efficiency.
- Pre-Motor Foam & Felt Filters: Located under the dust cup. Rinse every 3 months. Tap loose dirt off between washes. Allow to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.
- Post-Motor HEPA Filter: Located at the bottom front of the vacuum. Rinse once every 2 years or as needed. Allow to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. Do not wash in a dishwasher or washing machine.

Brushroll Maintenance
