4. Assembly Instructions
Follow the visual diagrams in the included instruction manual for detailed step-by-step assembly. The following sections provide general guidance and important considerations.
4.1. Part Preparation
- Carefully detach parts from the runners using a hobby nipper or sharp craft knife to avoid stress marks or damage.
- Smooth any nubs or excess plastic with a hobby file or sandpaper for a clean finish.
- Organize parts by section to streamline the assembly process.
4.2. Hull Assembly
Begin by assembling the main hull sections. Ensure all snap-fit connections are secure. Some parts may be delicate; apply gentle, even pressure during assembly.

4.3. Mast and Sail Installation
Attach the masts and sails according to the diagrams. The main sail features the Straw Hat Pirates' Jolly Roger. Pay close attention to the orientation of the sails.

4.4. Soldier Dock System and Gaon Cannon
The distinctive Soldier Dock System is recreated with accessories. The Gaon Cannon is a replaceable part that can be swapped into position on the ship's bow. Refer to the manual for specific placement.
4.5. Mini Ships and Figures
Assemble the three mini ships: "Shiromokuba 1", "Mini Merry 2", and "Shark Submerge 3". The kit also includes nine small PVC figures of the Straw Hat Pirates. These figures are very small and come unpainted. They can be placed on the ship or the display base.

5. Decals and Stickers Application
The kit includes both water slide decals and marking/colored stickers. Decals offer a more integrated, painted look, while stickers provide a simpler application.
5.1. Water Slide Decals
- Cut out the desired decal.
- Dip it in lukewarm water for 10-20 seconds until it slides freely from the backing paper.
- Carefully slide the decal onto the model surface.
- Position it using a wet cotton swab or brush.
- Gently blot excess water with a tissue. For curved surfaces like the main mast, use a cotton swab to press the decal into panel lines for a realistic appearance. Avoid excessive repositioning as this can weaken and tear the decal.
5.2. Marking and Colored Stickers
- Peel the sticker from its backing.
- Carefully align and apply it to the designated area on the model.
- Smooth out any air bubbles.
6. Optional Painting
While the kit uses colored plastic, some parts, particularly the small figures and certain details, are unpainted. A painting guide is included in the manual if you choose to paint these sections.
- For small figures, fine-tip brushes or markers are recommended.
- If using acrylic paints, consider applying a primer coat to plastic surfaces to ensure better adhesion and prevent scratching.
- It is advisable to paint parts before assembly if they are difficult to reach once the model is complete.
7. Display and Care
Once assembled, place your Thousand Sunny model on the included display base. Position it in a stable location away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity to prevent material degradation or discoloration.
- To clean, gently dust with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- The model is designed for display and is not intended as a toy for rough handling.

8. Troubleshooting
- Fragile Parts: Some components, such as fence rails or small character details, are delicate. Handle them with extreme care during detachment and assembly to prevent breakage. If a part breaks, a small amount of plastic model cement can be used for repair, though the kit is designed for glue-free assembly.
- Decal Application Difficulty: If water slide decals are difficult to apply or adhere to curved surfaces, ensure sufficient water is used and gently press them into place with a cotton swab. Avoid repeated attempts to reposition, as this can damage the decal.
- Figures Not Standing: The small character figures may not stand independently. They are designed to be placed on the ship or display base.
- Parts Not Staying Together: While designed for snap-fit, if a connection feels loose, ensure the parts are fully aligned and pressed firmly. For persistent looseness, a tiny drop of plastic model cement can be applied to the interior of the joint (use sparingly).
