Familiarize yourself with the following parts:

  • Flame Nozzle: Where the flame exits.
  • Ignition Button: Activates the piezo ignition to light the flame.
  • Gas Control Dial: Adjusts the flame intensity.
  • Air Regulator: Controls the air mixture for flame type.
  • Fuel Tank: Contains the butane fuel.
  • Refill Valve: Located at the bottom of the fuel tank for butane replenishment.
  • Removable Base Stand: Provides stability when the torch is not handheld.

4. Setup

4.1. Refilling the Fuel Tank

  1. Ensure the torch is turned off and completely cool.
  2. Hold the torch upside down.
  3. Insert the nozzle of a high-quality butane fuel canister into the refill valve at the bottom of the torch.
  4. Press down firmly for 5-10 seconds. Repeat if necessary until the tank is full. Do not overfill.
  5. Wait a few minutes after refilling for the gas to stabilize before ignition.

4.2. Initial Use

Before first use, ensure the torch is filled with butane as described above. Allow a few minutes for the gas to settle.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Adjust Gas Flow: Turn the gas control dial to the desired setting. A higher setting will produce a larger flame.
  2. Ignite: Press the ignition button. You should hear a click and see a flame. If the torch does not ignite, release the button and try again, ensuring sufficient gas flow.
  3. Adjust Flame: Use the gas control dial to fine-tune the flame size and intensity. The air regulator can be adjusted to change the flame type (e.g., from a soft flame to a sharp, pinpoint flame).
  4. Continuous Operation: Some models may feature a flame lock for continuous operation. Refer to your specific model's design.
  5. Turn Off: Release the ignition button (if not locked) or turn the gas control dial to the 'off' position. Ensure the flame is completely extinguished.
  6. Cool Down: Allow the torch to cool down completely before handling or storing. The nozzle and surrounding areas will be extremely hot after use.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the torch with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Nozzle Care: Keep the flame nozzle clear of debris. Do not poke or obstruct the nozzle opening.
  • Storage: Store the torch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure it is empty of fuel if storing for extended periods.
  • Fuel Quality: Always use high-quality, triple-refined or higher butane fuel to prevent clogging and ensure optimal performance.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Torch does not ignite:
    • Check if the fuel tank is empty. Refill with butane.
    • Ensure the gas control dial is open.
    • Verify the ignition button is fully depressed.
    • If the igniter sparks but no flame, the nozzle might be partially clogged. Try gently blowing through the nozzle (when cool and empty of fuel).
  • Flame is weak or inconsistent:
    • The fuel tank may be low. Refill the torch.
    • Ensure the gas control dial is set to a higher flow.
    • Check the air regulator for proper adjustment.
    • Poor quality butane can cause inconsistent flames. Try purging the tank and refilling with premium butane.
  • Gas leaks from the refill valve:
    • Ensure the butane canister nozzle is properly aligned with the refill valve during filling.
    • Do not overfill the tank.
    • If leakage persists, the valve may be damaged. Discontinue use and contact customer support.
