5. Setup

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Unit Selection

With the scale powered on, press the UNIT button to cycle through the available measurement units: Lbs / oz, decimal Lbs, and kilograms. Select the desired unit for your application.

6.2. Zeroing (Tare)

Before placing a refrigerant tank on the scale, ensure the scale reads zero. If not, press the ZERO/TARE button. This will reset the display to zero, allowing you to measure only the weight of the refrigerant added or removed.

6.3. Refrigerant Charging/Recovery

  1. Place the refrigerant tank securely on the center of the scale platform.
  2. Press the ZERO/TARE button to zero out the weight of the tank.
  3. Connect the appropriate hoses and manifold gauges to the refrigerant tank and the system being serviced.
  4. Begin the charging or recovery process according to standard HVAC/R procedures.
  5. Monitor the scale's display to accurately measure the amount of refrigerant transferred.
  6. Once the desired amount is reached, close the valves and disconnect the hoses.

6.4. Power Off

Press and hold the POWER button for a few seconds to turn off the scale. The scale may also feature an auto-off function to conserve battery life.

7. Maintenance
