Introduction

The REDMON Precision Digital Pet Scale is designed to accurately measure the weight of small pets. This scale is an essential tool for monitoring your pet's health, managing their weight, and ensuring correct dosages for weight-dependent products. It features precision digital technology for clear, easy-to-read weight displays and includes functions for unit conversion, tare, and memory.

Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions before using the scale.

• Ensure the scale is placed on a stable, flat surface to prevent tipping and ensure accurate readings.
• Keep the scale away from water or excessive moisture to prevent damage to electronic components.
• Do not overload the scale. The maximum weight capacity is 55 pounds (25 kg).
• This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Handle with care and wash hands after use.
• Batteries are not included. Use two AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries. Remove batteries if the scale will not be used for an extended period.

Setup

1. Battery Installation:

   Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Open the compartment cover. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the correct positive (+) and negative (-) orientation. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Placement:

   Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Uneven surfaces can affect accuracy. Avoid placing it on carpets or soft flooring.

Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the control buttons: UNIT, HOLD, and On/Off TARE.

1. Turning On/Off:

   Press the On/Off TARE button to turn the scale on. The display will show "0.00" when ready. To turn off the scale, press and hold the On/Off TARE button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale also features an auto-off function to conserve battery power if left inactive.

2. Changing Units (Pounds/Kilograms):

   With the scale on, press the UNIT button to toggle between pounds (lb) and kilograms (kg). The selected unit will be indicated on the display.
3. Tare Function:

   The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container (e.g., a pet carrier or blanket) so that only the pet's weight is measured.

   • Place the empty container on the scale.
   • Wait for the weight to stabilize.
   • Press the On/Off TARE button. The display will reset to "0.00".
   • Now, place your pet inside the container. The display will show only your pet's weight.
4. Hold Function:

   If your pet is restless, the HOLD function can help capture a stable weight reading.

   • Place your pet on the scale.
   • Press the HOLD button. The scale will attempt to lock onto a stable weight reading.
   • Once a stable reading is obtained, it will be displayed and held, even if the pet moves or is removed.
   • Press HOLD again to release the reading and return to live weighing.
5. Memory Feature (Previous Weight):

   The scale can recall the last measured weight, which is useful for tracking your pet's progress over time.

   • After a weight has been measured and displayed, the scale automatically stores it.
   • To view the previous weight, turn the scale on and then press the HOLD button twice quickly. The display will briefly show the last recorded weight.
6. Weighing Your Pet:

   Ensure the scale is on a flat surface and displaying "0.00". Gently place your pet on the center of the scale. Wait for the weight to stabilize on the display. If your pet is moving, use the HOLD function.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
• Storage: Store the scale in a dry place at room temperature. Its slim design allows for easy storage.
• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
