5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Yamaha Piaggero NP11, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the instrument with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then wipe dry. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish.
- Storage: Store the instrument in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. Do not place heavy objects on the keyboard.
- Battery Care: If using batteries, remove them if the instrument will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and damage.
- Transportation: When transporting the keyboard, use a suitable case or bag to protect it from impacts and scratches.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your NP11, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- No Power:
- Ensure the AC adaptor is securely connected to both the instrument and a working power outlet.
- If using batteries, check that they are correctly inserted and not depleted. Replace all six batteries if necessary.
- Verify that the Auto Power Off function has not activated (instrument turns off after 30 minutes of inactivity).
- No Sound:
- Check the Master Volume knob and ensure it is turned up.
- If headphones are connected, sound will only be output through the headphones. Disconnect headphones to hear sound from the built-in speakers.
- Ensure a voice is selected (e.g., Grand Piano).
- Keys Not Responding / Incorrect Sound:
- Ensure the correct voice is selected.
- If connected to external MIDI devices, check MIDI settings and connections.
