1. Product Overview

2. Initial Setup
2.1. Package Contents
Before proceeding, ensure all items are present in the package:
- 1 x Lexibook MP100 Senior Mobile Phone
- 1 x Charging Station
- 1 x User Manual (this document)
- 1 x Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery (pre-installed or separate)
2.2. Battery Installation and Charging
- If the battery is not pre-installed, carefully remove the back cover of the phone.
- Insert the Lithium Ion battery into its compartment, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
- Replace the back cover.
- Connect the charging station to a power outlet using the provided adapter.
- Place the Lexibook MP100 phone onto the charging station. The large notification light on the phone will illuminate to indicate charging.
- Allow the phone to charge fully before first use. A full charge typically takes approximately 3-4 hours.
2.3. SIM Card Insertion
The Lexibook MP100 requires a standard GSM SIM card (not included) to make and receive calls and SMS messages.
- Ensure the phone is powered off.
- Remove the back cover and the battery.
- Locate the SIM card slot.
- Carefully insert your SIM card into the slot, ensuring the gold contacts face downwards and the cut corner aligns with the slot's orientation.
- Reinsert the battery and replace the back cover.
- Power on the phone by pressing and holding the red power button.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1. Power On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the red call end/power button until the screen illuminates.
- To power off: Press and hold the red call end/power button until the "Power Off" option appears, then confirm.
3.2. Making and Receiving Calls
Making a Call:
- Dialing a Number: Use the large numeric keypad to enter the desired phone number. The digits will appear on the large backlit display.
- Initiating Call: Press the green call button to dial the number.
- Ending Call: Press the red call end/power button to end the call.
Receiving a Call:
- When an incoming call is received, the phone will ring loudly and/or vibrate. The large notification light will also flash.
- Press the green call button to answer the call.
- Press the red call end/power button to end the call.
3.3. Speed Dial (M1, M2, M3)
The phone features three dedicated speed dial keys (M1, M2, M3) for quick access to frequently called numbers.
Programming Speed Dial Numbers:
- Navigate to the phone's menu (usually by pressing the central navigation button or a dedicated menu button).
- Select "Settings" or "Phonebook" and then "Speed Dial" or "Memory Keys".
- Choose M1, M2, or M3.
- Enter the phone number you wish to assign to that key and save it.
Using Speed Dial:
- Simply press and hold the desired speed dial key (M1, M2, or M3) for a few seconds to automatically dial the assigned number.
3.4. Flashlight Function
The Lexibook MP100 includes a built-in flashlight for convenience.
- To turn on the flashlight: Locate the dedicated flashlight button on the side of the phone (refer to Figure 1.4). Press this button once.
- To turn off the flashlight: Press the flashlight button again.
3.5. Key Lock Function
To prevent accidental key presses, the phone features a key lock switch.
- To lock the keys: Slide the key lock switch (refer to Figure 1.4) to the locked position (indicated by a closed padlock icon).
- To unlock the keys: Slide the key lock switch to the unlocked position (indicated by an open padlock icon).
3.6. Phonebook and SMS
- Phonebook: The phonebook can store up to 250 names and numbers. Access it via the menu to add, edit, or delete contacts.
- SMS (Text Messages): The phone supports sending and receiving basic text messages. Access the SMS menu to compose new messages or read incoming ones.
4. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the phone's surface. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid extreme temperatures. Charge the phone regularly, but avoid overcharging for extended periods.
- Storage: If storing the phone for a long period, ensure it is fully charged and then power it off. Store in a cool, dry place.
- Water Resistance: This phone is not water-resistant. Avoid exposure to liquids.
