2. Battery Installation

The clock requires 3 x LR14 (Type C) batteries (not included). To install:

3. Installing the Bird and Pendulum

Choose your desired bird and pendulum color. The birds are magnetic and easily attach to the perch inside the birdhouse opening. The pendulum disc attaches to the bottom rod.

  • To change the bird: Gently pull out the current bird and replace it with another.
  • To attach the pendulum: Hook the pendulum disc onto the metal rod extending from the bottom of the clock.

The clock can be used as a wall clock or a shelf clock. If using as a shelf clock, the pendulum can be unhooked.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting the Time

Turn the minute hand (the longer hand) clockwise to set the correct time. The bird will emerge and sing at each full hour as you pass it. This is normal and helps synchronize the clock's internal mechanism.

2. Sound Selection (Bird Voices or Cuckoo Call)

On the back of the clock, you will find buttons to select the sound mode:

  • Cuckoo: Selects the traditional cuckoo call.
  • 12x: Selects one of 12 natural bird voices. Each hour, a different bird song will play.

3. Volume Adjustment

Use the volume control buttons on the back of the clock to adjust the sound level to your preference.

4. Light Sensor for Night Silence

The clock is equipped with a built-in light sensor. This feature automatically silences the bird calls during periods of low light or darkness, ensuring peaceful sleep without interruption. The bird will resume singing when the room becomes bright again.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the clock gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace all three C batteries when the sound becomes faint or the clock stops functioning. It is recommended to replace all batteries at the same time.
  • Bird Care: The interchangeable birds can be cleaned with a damp cloth if necessary. Ensure they are dry before re-inserting.
