Operating Instructions
- Wash Greens: Place your salad greens or other produce into the inner basket. Rinse thoroughly under running water. The basket can be used as a standalone colander for this step.
- Prepare for Spinning: After rinsing, place the inner basket containing the wet greens back into the main bowl. Secure the spinner lid on top of the bowl.
- Spin to Dry: Hold the spinner firmly with one hand. With the other hand, rotate the upright handle on the lid in either direction. Continue spinning until the greens are dry. The dual-direction spinning mechanism helps to dry greens more thoroughly.
- Stop Spinning: To quickly stop the basket from spinning, gently press your fingers on the flexible part of the outer bowl.
- Serve: Remove the lid and the inner basket. The outer bowl can be used as a serving bowl for your freshly dried salad.

Maintenance and Cleaning
- Dishwasher Safe: All components of the PrepWorks Collapsible Salad Spinner are dishwasher safe.
- Top Rack Placement: For best results and to prevent warping, place the spinner lid on the top rack of your dishwasher. The bowl and basket can be placed on either rack.
- Hand Washing: If hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storing.
Storage
One of the key benefits of this salad spinner is its collapsible design for compact storage.
- Collapse Components: Ensure the inner basket is inside the main bowl. Gently press down on the top rim of the bowl and basket to collapse them to their flattened state.
- Fold Handle: Flip the handle on the spinner lid down so it lies flat.
- Store: Place the lid on the collapsed bowl and basket. The flattened unit can now be stored in a drawer or cabinet, taking up minimal space.

Troubleshooting
- Spinner not drying greens effectively: Ensure the lid is properly seated and the handle is rotated vigorously. The dual-direction spinning mechanism is designed for efficient drying. If the inner basket is warped (e.g., from improper dishwasher use), it may affect spinning efficiency.
- Lid not staying secure during spinning: While the lid is designed to sit securely, ensure it is properly aligned and pressed down before spinning. Apply firm pressure to the outer bowl during operation for stability.
- Difficulty collapsing the spinner: Ensure the inner basket is correctly positioned inside the outer bowl. Apply even downward pressure on the top rim of the bowl to collapse the silicone sections.
