5. Setup
5.1 Placement

5.2 Connecting Power
- Connect the power cord to the projector's power input.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
5.3 Connecting Video Sources
Use the appropriate cable to connect your video source (computer, DVD player, etc.) to the projector's input ports.
- For computers: Use a VGA cable to connect to either COMPUTER IN 1 or COMPUTER IN 2.
- For video players: Use an A/V cable for VIDEO (composite) or an S-Video cable for S-VIDEO.
- For audio: Connect a 3.5mm audio cable from your source to AUDIO IN if you wish to use the projector's internal speaker or pass audio through to external speakers via AUDIO OUT.
6. Operating the Projector
6.1 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press the power button on the control panel or remote control. The power indicator light will turn green.
- To Power Off: Press the power button twice. The projector will enter a cooling cycle, and the power indicator will flash. Do not unplug the projector until the cooling cycle is complete and the power indicator light is off.
6.2 Adjusting the Image
- Focus: Rotate the focus ring on the lens until the image is sharp.
- Zoom: Rotate the zoom ring on the lens to adjust the image size.
- Keystone Correction: If the image appears trapezoidal, use the keystone buttons on the control panel or remote to correct it.
6.3 Source Selection
Press the "Source" button on the control panel or remote control to cycle through available input sources (Computer 1, Computer 2, Video, S-Video).
6.4 Eco Mode
The projector features an Eco Mode to extend lamp life and reduce power consumption. Activate Eco Mode via the projector's on-screen menu. In Eco Mode, the lamp life can extend to approximately 6,000 hours, compared to 5,000 hours in normal mode.
6.5 3D Ready Functionality
The InFocus IN114 is 3D-ready. To project 3D content, you will need compatible 3D source material, a 3D-capable graphics card, and active shutter 3D glasses (sold separately). Refer to your 3D source device's manual for specific setup instructions.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Projector
- Exterior: Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a mild cleaning solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Lens: Use a lens cleaning cloth or lens paper specifically designed for optical surfaces. Avoid touching the lens with your fingers.
- No Filters: The IN114 is designed without filters, eliminating the need for filter cleaning or replacement.
7.2 Lamp Replacement
The lamp life is approximately 5,000 hours in normal mode and 6,000 hours in Eco Mode. When the lamp reaches the end of its life, a warning message will appear, and the lamp indicator will illuminate. The lamp door is conveniently located on the top of the projector for easy access, even when ceiling-mounted.
- Ensure the projector is powered off and completely cooled down before attempting lamp replacement.
- Unplug the power cord.
- Locate and open the lamp cover on the top of the projector.
- Carefully remove the old lamp module.
- Install the new InFocus replacement lamp module, ensuring it is securely seated.
- Close the lamp cover and plug in the power cord.
- Reset the lamp timer through the projector's OSD menu.
