Important Safeguards

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or shipping if needed.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the bean hopper, bean hopper lid, grounds container, and grounds container lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The main unit should be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Placement: Place the grinder on a stable, flat, and dry surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
- Assemble: Ensure the upper burr grinder is correctly seated in the base. Place the bean hopper onto the grinder base and twist clockwise until it locks securely into place. Insert the grounds container into its designated slot.
Operating Instructions
1. Filling the Bean Hopper
Open the lid of the bean hopper and pour whole coffee beans into the hopper. The hopper can hold up to 1/2 pound of coffee beans. Close the lid securely after filling.

2. Adjusting Grind Settings
The grinder offers 18 customized grind settings to match various brewing methods. Rotate the grind selection dial located on the bean hopper to your desired setting. Refer to the guide below for common settings:
- Super Fine: Espresso
- Medium/Fine: Drip Coffee (Cone Filter)
- Medium: Drip Coffee (Flat Bottom Filter)
- Coarse: French Press, Percolator

3. Grinding Coffee
- Ensure the grounds container is properly inserted and the bean hopper lid is closed.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start grinding. The grinder will operate until the selected amount of coffee is ground or until the bean hopper is empty.
- The grinder features an automatic shut-off function when grinding is complete.
4. After Grinding
Once grinding is complete, unplug the unit. Carefully remove the grounds container from the grinder. The ground coffee is now ready for brewing.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your grinder.
- Always unplug the grinder before cleaning.
- Removable Parts: The bean hopper, bean hopper lid, grounds container, and grounds container lid are removable and can be washed in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
- Grinding Chamber: Use a small brush (often included) to remove any residual coffee grounds from the burr grinding mechanism. For stubborn clogs or oily residue, running a small amount of uncooked rice through the grinder can help clean the burrs.
- Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the grinder base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
- Storage: Store the grinder in a cool, dry place when not in use.
