Setup and Initial Use
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment, typically at the base or side of the handle.
- Open the compartment and insert one AA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
2. Butane Refilling
The gas match is shipped without butane fluid. It requires butane lighter fluid (sold separately) for operation.
- Ensure the gas match is cool and away from any ignition sources.
- Engage all safety locks and ensure the flame adjustment is set to minimum.
- Turn the gas match upside down to expose the refill valve at the base.
- Select a butane canister with a small plastic nozzle. Larger metal nozzles may not create a proper seal and can cause butane to spray.
- Firmly press the butane canister nozzle into the refill valve. Hold for 5-10 seconds.
- Observe the fuel viewing window to monitor the butane level. Do not overfill.
- Allow a few minutes for the gas to stabilize before attempting to ignite.

Operating Instructions
1. Ignition
- Ensure the gas match is adequately filled with butane.
- Locate the safety slide lock and disengage it.
- Simultaneously press and hold both the top and bottom ignition buttons.
- Point the flexible extender towards the item to be lit, maintaining a safe distance. The flame should ignite.
- Once lit, you may release the bottom button if continuous electronic ignition is not required, holding only the top button to maintain the flame.
- Release all buttons to extinguish the flame.
- After use, engage the safety slide lock and twist both top and bottom buttons to their locked positions to prevent accidental activation.

2. Adjusting Flame Size
The GM-3X features an adjustable flame to suit various lighting needs.
- Locate the flame adjustment slider on the side of the handle.
- Slide towards the '+' symbol for a larger flame.
- Slide towards the '-' symbol for a smaller flame.
- Adjust the flame only when the lighter is ignited to observe the change.
