Setup and Assembly

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
  2. Clean: Before first use, wash all removable parts (hopper, auger, sieve, chutes) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The motor unit should only be wiped with a damp cloth.
  3. Assemble:
    • Attach the auger to the motor unit's drive shaft.
    • Slide the sieve/strainer cone over the auger.
    • Secure the hopper onto the assembly.
    • Attach the pulp and waste chutes to their respective outlets.
    • Place the assembled unit on a stable, flat surface.
  4. Prepare Containers: Position suitable containers under the pulp chute and waste chute to collect the strained tomato puree and discarded skins/seeds.

Operating Instructions

Preparing Tomatoes:

  • Wash tomatoes thoroughly.
  • For raw tomatoes, cut them into quarters or smaller pieces to fit easily into the hopper.
  • For cooked tomatoes, ensure they are cooled sufficiently to handle.

Straining Process:

  1. Ensure the appliance is correctly assembled and containers are in place.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded 230V electrical outlet.
  3. Turn on the appliance. The motor will begin to run.
  4. Gradually feed the prepared tomato pieces into the hopper. Use the pusher to gently guide them towards the auger. Do not force tomatoes into the hopper.
  5. The machine will separate the pulp, which will exit through the pulp chute, and the seeds/skins, which will exit through the waste chute.
  6. For a finer puree or to extract more liquid, you may pass the discarded skins and seeds through the strainer a second time.
  7. When finished, turn off the appliance and unplug it from the power outlet.

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygienic operation of your tomato strainer.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
  2. Disassemble: Carefully disassemble all removable parts (hopper, auger, sieve, chutes).
  3. Wash: Wash all removable parts in warm, soapy water. A brush may be helpful to clean the sieve thoroughly. The product care instructions state "Dishwasher Safe" for these parts.
  4. Rinse: Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water to remove any soap residue.
  5. Dry: Dry all parts completely before reassembling or storing to prevent rust or mold.
  6. Motor Unit: Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor unit in water.
  7. Storage: Store the clean, dry appliance in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
