Setup

Charging the Toothbrush

Before first use, fully charge your Philips Sonicare toothbrush for 24 hours. A full charge provides approximately two weeks of typical use (brushing twice a day for two minutes). The convenient recharge indicator light on the handle will blink when the battery needs recharging.

Attaching the Brush Head

Align the brush head with the metal shaft of the handle and push it down firmly until it clicks into place. The ProResults brush head is designed to snap on easily for secure attachment and simple replacement.

Operating Instructions

Brushing Your Teeth

1. Wet the bristles and apply a small amount of toothpaste.
2. Place the brush head against your teeth at a slight angle towards the gumline.
3. Press the power button to start brushing.
4. Gently move the brush head slowly across your teeth in small back-and-forth motions, allowing the sonic action to clean your teeth. Do not scrub.
5. The brush will pause briefly every 30 seconds (Quadpacer) to indicate when to move to the next quadrant of your mouth.
6. The brush will automatically turn off after two minutes (Smartimer), signaling the completion of the dental professional recommended brushing time.

Easy-Start Feature

The Easy-start feature gradually increases the power of the toothbrush over the first 14 brushings to help you acclimate to the Sonicare experience. After 14 uses, the toothbrush will operate at full power.

Smartimer and Quadpacer

• Smartimer: Ensures you brush for the dentist-recommended two minutes. The toothbrush automatically switches off after this period. If you pause brushing within 30 seconds, the timer will resume when you restart.
• Quadpacer: An interval timer that beeps and pauses the brushing action at 30, 60, and 90 seconds, prompting you to move to the next section of your mouth for an even clean.

Maintenance

Cleaning Your Toothbrush

• After each use, rinse the brush head and bristles thoroughly under running water.
• Wipe the handle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the handle in water.
• Periodically remove the brush head and rinse the metal shaft area with warm water to remove any toothpaste residue.

Brush Head Replacement

For optimal performance and hygiene, replace your Philips Sonicare brush head every three months, or sooner if the bristles become splayed or worn. Compatible Philips Sonicare brush heads can be purchased separately.
