1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Always ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
• Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Keep out of reach of children. Hot water can cause severe burns.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

2. Product Overview

The SPT 3.2-Liter Hot Water Dispenser is designed to provide hot water conveniently. It features a dual-pump system for dispensing and a micro-computerized dry-boil function for safety.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning

1. Carefully remove the hot water dispenser from its packaging.
2. Wash the inner pot and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
3. Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.

3.2 Filling with Water

1. Ensure the unit is unplugged.
2. Open the lid.
3. Fill the inner pot with clean drinking water up to the "Full" mark on the water level indicator. Do not overfill.
4. Close the lid securely.

3.3 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The unit will automatically begin heating the water to boiling point.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Initial Boil and Keep Warm

Once plugged in, the dispenser will automatically heat the water to boiling (212°F / 100°C). The "Boil" indicator light will illuminate. After boiling, the unit will switch to "Keep Warm" mode, maintaining the water at a hot temperature. The "Keep Warm" indicator light will be on.

4.2 Dispensing Water

The dispenser offers two methods for dispensing hot water:

1. One-Touch Auto Dispense:
   • Ensure the "Lock" switch is in the "Unlock" position.
   • Place a cup or container under the dispense spout.
   • Press the DISPENSE button. Water will flow until the button is released.
2. Manual Air Pump Dispense:
   • This method allows dispensing even if power is cut off.
   • Place a cup or container under the dispense spout.
   • Repeatedly press the manual air pump button located on the top of the lid until the desired amount of water is dispensed.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your hot water dispenser.

5.1 Daily Cleaning

• Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Clean the dispense spout area with a damp cloth to remove any drips or residue.

5.2 Interior Cleaning and Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (scale) may build up in the inner pot, especially in areas with hard water. Descaling is recommended periodically.

1. Unplug the dispenser and ensure it is cool.
2. Empty any remaining water from the inner pot.
3. Fill the inner pot with a solution of water and white vinegar (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) or a commercial descaling agent according to its instructions.
4. Allow the solution to soak for 30 minutes to an hour, or as recommended by the descaling agent. For heavy scale, you may need to heat the solution briefly (do not boil with vinegar).
5. Drain the solution completely.
6. Rinse the inner pot several times with fresh water to remove any residual descaling agent and loose scale.
7. Perform a test boil with fresh water and discard the water before regular use.

Note: Some users have reported cosmetic rust spots on the stainless steel interior over time. This is often surface discoloration and can typically be removed with descaling or a stainless steel cleaner. Ensure thorough rinsing after any cleaning agent is used.
