Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Orbit watering timer, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries annually or when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always use new 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries.
- Temperature Considerations: The timer is designed for outdoor use but should be protected from extreme temperatures. Do not operate at temperatures exceeding 120°F (49°C) or below 32°F (0°C).
- Winter Storage: Before the first frost, remove the timer from the faucet, remove the batteries, and store it indoors in a location where temperatures remain above 32°F (0°C). Freezing temperatures can cause damage to the internal components.
- Cleaning: Periodically check the filter washer located in the timer's inlet for debris. Clean if necessary to maintain proper water flow.
