1. Setup

1.1 Charging the Battery

The Kodak Slice camera uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery. To charge the battery:

  1. Insert the battery into the camera or a compatible battery charger.
  2. Connect the camera or charger to a power source using a USB cable.

  2. Gently insert the microSD/SDHC card with the metal contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, press the card gently inward until it springs out.

The camera features a 3.5-inch 16:9 capacitive touchscreen display. Navigate menus, view photos, and adjust settings by lightly touching the screen with your fingertip.

2.3 Capturing Photos

The Kodak Slice captures 14-megapixel still images. Key features for photography include:

  • Optical Zoom: Utilize the 5x SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH optical zoom lens for detailed faraway shots.
  • Digital Zoom: An additional 5x digital zoom is available.
  • Image Stabilization: Optical image stabilization automatically helps ensure sharp images.
  • Aspect Ratio: Capture images in 16:9 format.
  • Flash: The built-in flash offers Automatic, Fill Flash, and Suppressed Flash modes.

2.4 Recording Videos

The camera can record HD-quality video at 720p resolution at 30 frames per second, with sound. On-camera editing features are available.

2.5 Viewing and Organizing Images

Explore your captured photos and videos using the touchscreen display. The SLICE search feature allows you to sort content by person, place, event, location, or custom manual tags.

3. Maintenance

To maintain your Kodak Slice camera in optimal condition:

  • Keep the lens and touchscreen clean using a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive materials.
  • Store the camera in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
