Setup

Before first use, and after each cleaning, ensure the appliance is correctly assembled.

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
  2. Clean: Wash the processing bowl, lid, pusher, and any blades/discs in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth.
  3. Place Motor Base: Position the motor base on a clean, dry, and stable surface.
  4. Attach Bowl: Place the processing bowl onto the motor base. Rotate it clockwise until it locks securely into position. The appliance will not operate if the bowl is not correctly locked.
  5. Insert Blade/Disc: Carefully place the desired blade or disc onto the central shaft inside the processing bowl. Ensure it sits firmly.
  6. Secure Lid: Place the lid onto the processing bowl, aligning the tabs on the lid with the slots on the bowl. Rotate the lid clockwise until it locks securely. The appliance will not operate if the lid is not correctly locked.
  7. Insert Pusher: Place the pusher into the feed tube of the lid.

The food processor is now ready for operation.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your Ariete 1570 Food Processor.

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Cut food into pieces that will fit comfortably through the feed tube. Remove any hard pits, bones, or tough skins.
  2. Load Bowl: For chopping or mixing, place ingredients directly into the processing bowl before securing the lid. For slicing or shredding, place ingredients into the feed tube.
  3. Secure Lid: Ensure the lid is properly locked onto the bowl, and the bowl is locked onto the motor base.
  4. Plug In: Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet (230V).
  5. Select Speed/Function: Turn the control dial or press the appropriate button to select the desired speed or function (e.g., ON, PULSE). Use the PULSE function for short bursts of power, ideal for coarse chopping or controlling texture.
  6. Process Food:
    • For ingredients in the bowl: Allow the appliance to run until the desired consistency is achieved.
    • For ingredients in the feed tube (slicing/shredding): Gently push the food down with the pusher. Never use your fingers or other utensils.
  7. Switch Off: Once processing is complete, turn the control dial to the OFF position or release the button.
  8. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before removing the lid or bowl.
  9. Remove Food: Carefully unlock and remove the lid, then unlock and remove the processing bowl. Carefully remove the blade/disc before emptying the processed food.

Caution: Blades are sharp. Handle with extreme care.
