Important Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions can result in fire, explosion, serious injury, or death. This heater is for use with propane gas only. Do not use other fuels.

Setup and Assembly

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to your dealer.
  2. Placement: Position the heater on a firm, level surface, ensuring all safety clearances are met.
  3. Propane Connection: Connect the regulator hose assembly to a standard 20 lb. (or larger) LP gas cylinder. Hand-tighten the connection. Do not use tools to tighten the POL nut, as this may damage the connection.
  4. Leak Test: After connecting the propane tank, open the gas valve slowly and check all connections for leaks using a soap and water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, close the gas valve immediately and tighten connections. Repeat the leak test. Do not operate the heater if a leak persists.
  5. Electrical Connection: Plug the heater's power cord into a grounded 120V AC, 60 Hz electrical outlet.

Starting the Heater:

  1. Ensure the propane tank valve is fully open.
  2. Turn the thermostat control knob (Figure 2) to the desired temperature setting.
  3. Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The fan will start, and the igniter will attempt to light the burner.
  4. If the heater does not ignite within 10-15 seconds, turn the power switch to 'OFF', wait 5 minutes, and repeat the starting procedure.

Adjusting Heat Output:

The Master MH-150V-GFA-A features variable heat settings. Adjust the thermostat control knob (Figure 2) to increase or decrease the heat output as needed. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.

Shutting Down the Heater:

  1. Turn the power switch to the 'OFF' position.
  2. Close the valve on the propane cylinder.
  3. Allow the heater to cool completely before moving or storing.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your heater. Always disconnect the heater from the power supply and propane tank before performing any maintenance.
