2.2 Mounting the Device

3. Operating the Device
3.1 Entering a Destination
From the main menu, select "Go To" or "Address" to enter your desired destination. You can input addresses, points of interest (POIs), or select from your saved favorites.
3.2 Navigation and Map View
Once a destination is set, the device will calculate a route and provide turn-by-turn voice guidance and on-screen directions. The 7-inch screen offers clear map views. You can typically switch between 2D and 3D map perspectives and adjust zoom levels.

The device includes preinstalled POIs. You can search for gas stations, restaurants, hotels, and other destinations. The integrated AAA TourBook provides additional information and ratings for various POIs.
3.4 OneTouch Favorites Menu
The OneTouch favorites menu allows for quick access to frequently used destinations or functions. You can customize up to 12 icons to save locations like "Home," "Work," or specific search categories.
3.5 Bluetooth Hands-Free Calling
Pair your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone with the RoadMate 9055 for hands-free calling. This feature allows you to make and receive calls through the device's built-in microphone and speaker, enhancing safety while driving.

3.6 Location Screen for Roadside Assistance

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Device
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and exterior of the device. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing.
4.2 Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures. If the device will not be used for an extended period, store it in a cool, dry place with a partial charge.

5. Troubleshooting
