Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

Wipe the front panel with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or alcohol, as these can damage the finish. Do not spray liquid directly onto the unit.

CD Player Care

Handle CDs by their edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. If a CD is dirty, wipe it gently from the center outwards with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners on CDs. Avoid using irregularly shaped discs or discs with labels that may peel off inside the player.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DEH-1300MP, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power:
    • Check the vehicle's fuse box for a blown fuse.
    • Ensure the wiring harness is securely connected to the vehicle's power supply.
    • Verify the vehicle's battery is charged.
  • No Sound:
    • Check speaker connections for proper polarity and secure contact.

    • If the disc is stuck, try pressing the eject button repeatedly. If it still doesn't eject, consult a service center.
  • Poor Radio Reception:
    • Check the antenna connection at the back of the unit.
