Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, labels, and stickers from your coffeemaker. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.

2. Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean all removable parts as described in the "Care and Cleaning" section. Run two full carafes of plain water through the coffeemaker without coffee grounds to clean the internal components. Discard the water after each cycle.

3. Placement

Place the coffeemaker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure there is adequate clearance above the unit to open the lid for filling water and adding coffee grounds.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting the Clock

• Plug the coffeemaker into a standard electrical outlet. The digital display will flash.
• Press the HOUR button until the correct hour is displayed. The AM/PM indicator will illuminate.
• Press the MINUTE button until the correct minute is displayed.
• The clock will set automatically after a few seconds of inactivity.

2. Brewing Coffee

1. Open the coffeemaker lid.
2. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water to the desired level using the water level indicator. Do not exceed the 12-cup MAX fill line.
3. Place the permanent filter into the filter basket. If using a paper filter, ensure it is a basket-style filter and place it inside the filter basket.
4. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is 1 tablespoon of coffee per cup, but adjust to your personal preference.
5. Close the lid securely.
6. Place the empty glass carafe onto the warming plate. Ensure it is properly seated to activate the drip-stop mechanism.
7. Press the ON/OFF button to begin brewing. The indicator light will illuminate.
8. The coffeemaker will automatically shut off after 1-4 hours, depending on the auto shut-off setting.

3. Brew Strength Selector

This feature allows you to customize the strength of your coffee.

• Before brewing, press the BREW STRENGTH button.
• Select between "Regular" and "Strong" brew options. The selected option will be displayed.

4. 2-4 Cup Brew Option

For brewing smaller quantities of coffee (2-4 cups) with optimized flavor.

• Before brewing, press the 2-4 CUP button.
• The indicator light for this option will illuminate, signaling the coffeemaker to adjust its brewing cycle for smaller volumes.

5. Quicktouch Programming (Auto Brew)

Set the coffeemaker to automatically brew coffee at a specific time.

• Ensure the clock is set to the correct time.
• Prepare the coffeemaker for brewing (water, coffee grounds, carafe in place).
• Press the PROG button. The display will show "PROG" and flash.

6. Sneak-A-Cup™ Feature

• Return the carafe to the warming plate within 20 seconds to prevent overflow from the filter basket.

7. Adjustable Automatic Shut-Off

The coffeemaker automatically turns off the warming plate after a set period of inactivity.

• To adjust the shut-off time (1, 2, 3, or 4 hours), press the AUTO SHUT-OFF button repeatedly until the desired time is displayed.
• This setting must be changed before brewing begins.

Care and Cleaning

1. Daily Cleaning

• Always unplug the coffeemaker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Wash the glass carafe, carafe lid, filter basket, and permanent filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. These parts are top-rack dishwasher safe.
• Wipe the exterior of the coffeemaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Do not immerse the coffeemaker in water or any other liquid.

2. Descaling (Auto Clean System)

Mineral deposits (calcium and lime) can build up in your coffeemaker over time, affecting its performance. The auto clean system helps remove these deposits.

• Pour 4 cups of white vinegar into the water reservoir.
• Place an empty filter basket (without coffee or filter) and the empty carafe onto the warming plate.
• Press the AUTO CLEAN button. The indicator light will illuminate.
• The coffeemaker will run a cleaning cycle, which may take longer than a regular brew cycle.
• Once the cycle is complete, discard the vinegar solution.
• Run 2-3 full carafes of fresh, cold water through the coffeemaker to rinse thoroughly and remove any residual vinegar taste.
• Perform descaling every 80 brews or monthly, depending on water hardness.

3. Removable Water Filter Care
