Key Components:

Before First Use

Before using your Kalorik Rotisserie for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack the appliance and all accessories carefully. Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth.
  3. Wash the glass lid, drip pan, cooking rack/spit, and any other removable accessories in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  4. Place the rotisserie on a stable, heat-resistant surface in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors or near an open window for the initial burn-off.
  5. Operate the unit empty for approximately 15-20 minutes on a high setting to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this process; this is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
  6. Allow the unit to cool completely before handling or storing.

Setup and Food Preparation

Proper setup ensures optimal cooking results and safe operation.

  1. Ensure the unit is unplugged and cool.
  2. Place the drip pan at the bottom of the rotisserie chamber.
  3. Prepare your food item (e.g., chicken, roast) by seasoning it as desired. For best results and even browning, lightly rub the surface with oil or butter.
  4. Carefully place the food onto the cooking rack or spit, ensuring it is securely centered and does not touch the heating elements or sides of the chamber. The unit can hold up to a 10-pound chicken or roast.
  5. Place the cooking rack with the food into the rotisserie.
  6. Place the glass lid securely on top of the unit.
